For Ribco Ribs, the team at Evakis Curving Glass undertook the fabrication of a new 4+4 mm Triplex safety glass windshield, specifically designed for a RIB application. The windshield was manufactured according to the requirements and geometry of the vessel, with particular attention given to dimensional accuracy and precise fitting. ROM 140 solar control film was incorporated to provide enhanced protection against solar radiation while contributing to a refined and consistent appearance. The combination of 4+4 mm laminated Triplex safety glass and solar control film provides a marine glazing solution designed for the particular demands of a high-performance RIB and operation in a marine environment.
