On the motor yacht M/Y “Mamma Mia”, we carried out the complete removal and replacement of the vessel’s glass panels, following detachment issues that had affected the existing glazing. The project began with the careful removal of the old glass panels and the thorough cleaning and preparation of the frames and mounting surfaces, including the removal of existing sealants and bonding materials. We then fabricated new 8+8 mm tinted Securit Triplex safety glass panels, enhanced with a quadruple tinted film, helping provide increased durability, improved solar protection, and a more refined appearance. The work was completed with the precise installation and sealing of the new glass panels, ensuring secure fitting, restored watertight integrity, and reliable performance in demanding marine conditions. The project was carried out at Atlas Shipyards in Perama, Greece.
